Synopsis
1981: A lonely refugee from Czechoslovakia (Emily Mortimer) paints an all-too-appealing picture of her American life as she types a letter begging an organization to send a Cambodian refugee family so that she may help resettle them in the “dreamland” of her new hometown: Fargo, North Dakota.

Anna Martemucci Lukas’s previous work includes the feature film BREAKUP AT A WEDDING and PERIODS, the cult web series Time Out NY ranked as #15 on their list of the “50 Best Web Series of All Time.” Lukas is the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary THE CHAIR, which explores Hollywood, independent film, and the notion of the auteur.
